So many children in our community need pediatric medical, dental, and behavioral care.
The OPRF IWS offers several programs and services to the children in our community. Our main program is the IWS Children’s Clinic, a safety net offering children the best chance to lead long, healthy lives. With your support, together we can change the lives of vulnerable children.
Children like Lizzie, who began talking to herself and tightly hugging her body during her dental appointment. The IWS Children’s Clinic dental team, who received specialized training to recognize behavioral health concerns, noted the distress and referred Lizzie to the Clinic social worker, who worked with the family to get Lizzie the help she needed. Today, she is a happy teen who has learned how to manage her stress.
OPRF IWS is an Illinois non-profit, with an IRS 501(c)3 designation. All donations to OPRF IWS and the IWS Children’s Clinic are fully tax-deductible to extent allowed by law. Each year, payments and reimbursements for the services OPRF IWS provides cover only 40% of its budget. So each year, we must raise more than 60% of our budget to maintain our programs and services.
