How to Save the Planet & Save Money Too: Your Role in Solving the Climate Crisis

  • Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society 28 Madison Street Oak Park, IL, 60302 (map)

The Membership Committee invites all members and their friends to hear a special climate change speaker.

Are you looking to educate yourself on climate change and gain some awareness of what we as global citizens can do to help?

Pamela Tate, a Certified Climate Reality Leader trained by Al Gore, will briefly discuss the extent of the climate crisis and what decisions each person can make to help solve this threat to the planet and all the species on it. She will focus on “kitchen table” decisions each of us can make, as well as the need to become involved at the community, state and federal level.

Pam is a national speaker on the effects of Climate Change, due to her direct training by former Vice President Al Gore. She chairs and sits on several national, state and local committees and boards related to Climate Change from phasing out fossil fuels to the elimination of plastics, to nature-based solutions such as trees and regenerative agriculture. She can present on the current state of the world's climate and what we can do to address this huge problem, not only as individuals but also as community members and voters. Following an amazing career as CEO of CAEL (a national nonprofit that helps link higher education, government and companies to create career paths and educational opportunities for employees), Pam now commits her life as a volunteer and spokesperson for the vital issue of addressing Climate Change.
